About the Role :
As an Outreach Specialist, you’ll be at the forefront of Fabric’s expansion, engaging with communities in Camden. Spend your days building connections, understanding a family’s needs, and guiding them through essential applications. This is not just a job; it’s a chance to redefine how healthcare support is delivered!

What You’ll be Getting Into :

• Building relationships with families in laundromats
• Understanding the unique needs of these families and identifying where they need support
• Assisting families with public benefits applications like Medicaid, SNAP, and LIHEAP, as well as helping them navigate their health plans
• Making referrals to external resources

Qualifications :

• Fluency in English and Spanish
• In-person laundromat engagement: Willingness to work inside laundromats, creating meaningful connections (don’t worry - you don’t have to do laundry!)
• Weekend availability: Consistent availability on weekends, the prime time for laundry!
• Reliable transportation: Navigate different locations Philadelphia
• Experience with high-needs populations: Background in supporting vulnerable communities
• Tech savvy: Comfort with and desire to learn new technologies

Nice to Haves :

• Familiarity with state benefit applications

AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service alumni are encouraged to apply

Salary and Benefits:
$21/hr.
