Fire Sprinkler Designer

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing fire protection sprinkler systems in compliance with local regulations and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of fire safety principles and the ability to create effective and efficient sprinkler layouts for various building types.

Key Responsibilities

• Design fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes
• Prepare detailed shop drawings and calculations for submittals
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure design accuracy
• Perform site visits to assess existing conditions and provide solutions
• Review and approve shop drawings submitted by subcontractors
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulations
• Assist in the preparation of project specifications and documentation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in fire sprinkler design
• Proficient in AutoCAD and fire protection design software is a plus
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire codes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Certification from a recognized professional organization (e.g., NICET) is a plus
